FIJI’S efforts to attract more European visitors to our shores was further strengthened through the 12th Meet the Pacific event.

Led by Rosie Holidays, the tourism delegates made a 12-city stop promoting some of Fiji’s renowned tourism attractions in the Mamanuca’s, Malolo and Yasawa.

Rosie Holidays Business Development director Adeline Lee-Erasito said being physically present in Europe remained particularly important for a long-haul destination such as Fiji.

“Europe is a long-haul market for the South Pacific and that is exactly why being here matters,” Ms Lee-Erasito said.

“We are travelling a long way to meet out partners, share our products and tell the story of our islands directly to the people who sell our destinations.

“Meet the Pacific is not simply about selling.

“It is about building relationships, understanding the market, sharing knowledge and ensuring our European partners have the confidence and information they need to promote Fiji and the wider Pacific to their clients.”

According to Rosie Holidays, the delegation included representatives from South Sea Cruises Group, Ahura Resorts, Musket Cove Island Resort, Yasawa Island Resort and Spa, Nanuku Resort and Waya Island Resort.

Now in its 12th year, Meet the Pacific has become an important private sector platform for regional collaboration allowing participating destinations and tourism businesses to collectively promote the diversity of the South Pacific.

Ms Lee-Erasito said the platform provided an opportunity for the operators to showcase the Pacific as a region, especially in long haul markets like Europe.

“Each island has its own unique experiences, culture and products but together we offer an incredibly diverse destination for the European traveller.”

According to the Fiji Bureau of Statistics, Continental Europe accounted for 3093 visitor arrivals in July 2026, the same month that recorded Fiji’s highest-ever monthly overall arrivals of 105,791 visitors.
