A van driver died following a collision involving a bus and a van in Rakiraki this afternoon.
The accident occurred at around 4pm at the Naqoro flats, just outside Rakiraki Town.
The van driver is believed to have died at the scene.
National Fire Authority officers attended the accident and had to extricate the deceased from the badly damaged vehicle.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident and the cause of the collision.
