The psychiatric report of a 25-year-old accused of killing and dismembering the body of his 86-year-old grandfather in Lutu, Wainibuka, this year is yet to be furnished.
This update was provided by prosecutor Sadaf Shameem in the case of Charles Laxton Sundar, who appeared before Justice Usaia Ratuvili in Suva last week.
Mr Sundar faces a count of murder allegedly committed on July 12 this year at Lutu Village in Wainibuka.
The psychiatric report will ascertain whether Mr Sundar is fit to take a plea.
Mr Sundar is represented by Andala Dean from the Legal Aid Commission.
He has been remanded in custody and the case adjourned to December 11.
