The Ministry of Finance is formulating a new national development plan (NDP) for Fiji that will cover the three, five and 20-year plans for the country.
The Coalition Government aims to launch a comprehensive National Development Plan this year that will foster lasting national unity and shared vision as well as social, economic and political advancement of our nation.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Professor Biman Prasad said the NDP would facilitate practical solutions to the social and economic sector that the Government would implement to ensure Fiji’s lasting progress.
A Government statement stated that from February 14 to March 21, ministry teams will be travelling around the country to gather views and feedback on the development objectives, strategies and programs outlined in the draft plan.
Members of the public, NGOs and CSOs, communities and other stakeholders are invited to attend the public consultations in their respective areas.
