A woman has died following a house fire along Brown Street in Toorak yesterday.
The Fiji Police Force confirmed that the victim is yet to be identified, as investigations continue into the cause of the blaze.
Police said the incident is being jointly investigated with the National Fire Authority.
“A life was claimed in a house fire in Brown Street, Toorak on Monday,” Police said in a statement.
“The victim, a woman, is yet to be identified as joint investigations between Police and the National Fire Authority continue to ascertain the cause of fire.”
Authorities are also conducting enquiries within nearby communities in an effort to establish the identity of the deceased.
Investigations into the incident remain ongoing.
