Education Minister Aseri Radrodro has informed Parliament that the Ministry of Education has released Term 1 and Term 2 grants to the majority of schools across the country since October 2025, except for those that have yet to meet compliance requirements.
“The Ministry has released grants to most schools,” Radrodro said in a written response.
“However, some institutions are still resolving financial and administrative compliance issues.”
He revealed that 85 Early Childhood Education (ECE) centres, 22 primary schools, and 2 secondary schools have not yet received their grants.
“The delays are mainly due to the late submission of Annual Financial Reports, AGM minutes, or incomplete bank account details, which prevent us from creating vendor profiles in the new FMIS system,” he explained.
Radrodro added that his Ministry continues to work with school heads and management to resolve the outstanding issues.
“We are working closely with the affected schools to ensure the timely release of all remaining grants once compliance requirements are met,” he said.
