FINAL preparations are underway for the 2026 Nadroga Netball Association Knockout Tournament as the Salad Bowl Netball Club gears up for one of the biggest events on the Nadroga netball calendar when it unfolds this Saturday.

Club president Judy Kumar said the atmosphere at training has been intense and energetic, with players pushing themselves to reach peak performance.

The club will field seven teams across all major grades, highlighting its depth and strong development pathway.

From the young Jellybeans in the under-12 grade to the experienced open teams, Salad Bowl continues to nurture talent at every level.

The under-18 Blaze side will be led by Adivuki Esili, while the Flames in the Open grade will rely on the leadership of captain Lucy Tavukilevu.

Kumar said preparations began in January, with teams following structured programs focusing on fitness, skills, discipline and combinations.

“The commitment shown by players has been outstanding, with consistent attendance at early morning and afternoon sessions,” she said.

Kumar also acknowledged the support of sponsors, coaches, management, parents and supporters for their continued contribution to the club’s growth.

As the tournament approaches, the club remains united in its goal to compete with pride, passion and sportsmanship.

“Win or lose, we are ready to showcase our hard work and love for the game,” Kumar said.

The other two divisions are the men’s and Fruit Salad.

” We thank our sponsors for their ongoing financial and moral support, team management and coaches for their dedication and guidance and parents and supporters.”
