The Ba Football Association has terminated the contract of head coach Ravinesh Kumar with immediate effect, despite the team’s historic achievement of winning four consecutive titles.
In a statement, Ba FA president Praneel Dayal confirmed that the association’s executive committee had decided to end Kumar’s tenure.
The association did not disclose the reasons behind the decision.
Ba FA thanked Kumar for his commitment, hard work and contribution to Ba football during his time with the team.
“We acknowledge his efforts throughout the season and wish him all the best in his future endeavours,” the association said.
The decision comes as Ba celebrates a successful period in its history, with the association highlighting its achievement of securing four consecutive titles.
Ba FA said it remained focused on building on that success, acknowledging the contribution of its players, officials, supporters and other stakeholders.
The association also reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining high standards and moving forward with a shared focus on the future of Ba football.
Further details regarding the appointment of a new head coach will be announced in due course, the statement said.
