NATADOLA-based InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa has appointed a new area director of sales and marketing for the South Pacific region.
Australian Robert Miletic has been in the hospitality industry for the past 25 years, working in various tourist properties across Australia.
Mr Miletic will be responsible for overseeing the portfolio of three properties — the InterContinental Fiji, Holiday Inn Suva and the Holiday Inn Vanuatu.
Resort area general manager Erik Stuebe said Mr Miletic brought a wealth of experience and skills to the team.
“His leadership will be instrumental in leading the team to maximise our position in market and take us to new heights,” he said.
Mr Miletic replaces Kamal Haer, who has been promoted to area director of sales and marketing — Bali Resorts.
Mr Stuebe recognised Ms Haer’s contributions towards the resort.
“We were very pleased to have someone of Kamal’s calibre join the team in 2014 and she has been instrumental in setting new performance records for the resort across multiple segments and markets.”
