The High Court in Suva will decide tomorrow the fate of a former policeman accused of rape.
The matter was listed for judgment yesterday before Justice Dane Tuiqereqere, but it was adjourned to tomorrow.
The man is alleged to have raped a 26-year-old woman at the Valelevu Police single men’s barracks on May 26 last year. He had pleaded not guilty to the charge during trial.
On May 30 last year, the man appeared in the Nasinu Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Charles Ratakele who transferred the matter to the High Court.
The officer is currently out on bail.
