FIJIAN-BORN French international Alivereti Raka has wasted little time reminding the Top 14 of his finishing ability, scoring on his return for Clermont this season.
The 31-year-old winger crossed against Castres last weekend to register his 105th try for Clermont, moving him into third place on the club’s all-time try-scoring list alongside Fijian great Napolioni Nalaga and André Dubertrand.
Raka now trails only Aurélien Rougerie (134) and Philippe Saint-André (118) on Clermont’s scoring chart, with at least two more seasons remaining on his contract.
Born in Nakorovatu, Fiji, Raka has built a remarkable career in France, winning the Top 14 with Clermont in 2017 and earning five Test caps for France.
