The Centenary Methodist Church in Suva held a special service yesterday for schoolchildren, marking the beginning of a new school year.

It was a special moment for students, parents, and teachers as they gathered with Education Minister Aseri Radrodro.

The service served as a farewell for students and a prayerful commitment to guide them in their educational journey.

Mr Radrodro reminded students that education was not only about knowledge but character and opportunities for a successful future.

Schools will officially begin on Tuesday, while Monday has been set aside as a student-free day for teachers to prepare for the new academic year.
