THE Naitasiri women’s team will look to raise the intensity of their game when they host Nadi at 11am today at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori in round ten of the Subrails Marama Championships.
The Naitasiri girls produced an impressive 27-5 victory over Nadroga last week in front of passionate home supporters, and expectations will be high for the hosts to deliver another clinical performance against second-placed Nadi.
Vice-captain Maraia Roravudi said maintaining pressure throughout the match would be a key focus for Naitasiri.
“One of our biggest weaknesses against Nadroga was our consistency. We will need to improve that moving forward,” she said.
Naitasiri currently sits eighth on the competition points table, making today’s match crucial to their hopes of keeping their playoff aspirations alive.
Meanwhile, Nadi secured a default victory over Namosi last week.
A win over Naitasiri today could see Nadi move into first place, provided current leaders Suva lose to Macuata at Subrails Park in Labasa.
