MANUQALO Komaitai is set to make her return to the Fijiana XV at number eight against Hong Kong in the WXV Global Series Challenger tonight at 7.30pm.
The British Army Guardswoman last pulled on the national jersey in the Oceania Rugby Women’s Championship on April 25, 2026, where she scored two tries in a commanding 60–7 win over Manu Sina Samoa.
The Bau Island native has clear goals for her comeback, determined to become a more complete loose forward on the international stage.
“I just want to make sure I’m really disciplined in my tackles. In my last game, my carrying was a bit high,” Komaitai said.
“I’ve been working on that and this time I want it to be lower and more dominant.”
Since rejoining the squad, Komaitai has quickly adapted to new coach Wille Walker’s system and is keen to make an impact against Hong Kong.
“It’s so good to be back here with the girls. Everyone is so welcoming. Preparation has been great and we are all excited for the next game,” she said.
Walker has made several technical changes to manage player workloads and minor injuries.
He has opted for an experienced front row combination of Karalaini Naisewa at prop, hooker Bitila Tawake, and prop Tiana Robanakadavu.
At halfback, Evivi Senikarivi gets the nod, with Varanisese Qoro moving to fly-half, for a new look half paring.
On the wings Repeka Tove shifts to openside, while Atelaite Ralivanawa takes the blindside.
