LOCKED out of a spot in the 2027 Netball World Cup, the Crest Fiji Pearls held their heads high for a final hurrah in the Oceania Regional Qualifiers in Tonga yesterday with a 60-40 win over the Papua New Guinea Pepes.
Fiji kept a steady lead throughout the match by leading 32-16 at half-time in a finale played at the Tonga High School Indoor Stadium in Nuku’alofa.
Meanwhile, Samoa and Tonga managed to book spots in the 2027 World Cup after fielding key wins throughout the week.
The Pearls lost to Tonga 60-72 on Thursday and 50-56 to Samoa on Wednesday.
