FIJI Pro 2026 champions Cole Houshmand and Erin Brooks stamped their authority on the World Surf League’s Pacific Leg, claiming memorable victories after a spectacular Finals Day at Cloudbreak on Tavarua Island yesterday.
Cloudbreak saved some of its finest conditions for the final day, providing a fitting stage for two surfers in outstanding form to celebrate major victories and strengthen their positions heading into the final stretch of the Championship Tour season.
For Canadian star Brooks, the victory completed a remarkable Pacific Leg sweep and secured her second Fiji Pro title. Her triumph came after another impressive run at Cloudbreak, although the anticipated Final showdown with friend Isabella Nichols was denied after Nichols suffered an unfortunate injury during her semifinal.
Brooks’ success has lifted her to No.8 in the rankings as the Championship Tour now moves to Lower Trestles in Southern California. With valuable points still available, she remains firmly in contention to make a stronger push in the World Title race.
On the men’s side, American Cole Houshmand continued his extraordinary rise, claiming his third Championship Tour victory from three Final appearances.
The Fiji triumph added to his victories at Bells Beach and Brazil, further establishing Houshmand as one of the sport’s most dangerous competitors.
His Finals Day performance was nothing short of spectacular.
Houshmand produced a 9.43-point ride in the semifinals before delivering another outstanding performance in the Final against two-time Fiji Pro winner Gabriel Medina.
