THE Vodafone Fiji Bulikula will be without Tamika Jones for the remainder of the Rugby League World Cup after sustaining an injury during the team’s opening match against the Kiwi ferns.

Jones shared an emotional farewell message before the team left for Papua New Guinea, thanking her teammates for welcoming her and making her time with the national side a memorable experience.

“I just want to say thank you to everyone who welcomed me,” Jones said.

“It’s been a such journey. I haven’t been here for so long, but you have been such a good bunch of girls.”

Jones said representing Fiji alongside her teammates was a privilege and praised the depth of talent within the squad.

“Running out there with the girls was honestly such a privilege,” she said.

“There’s so much depth in this team and I can’t wait to see where you girls go.”

With Jones out, head coach Jone Wesele has made changes to the team that pushed New Zealand to the edge last Sunday.

Fiji Bulikula will the face PNG Orchids tomorrow at 2.15pm at the Santos National Football Stadium in Port Moresby.
