ZONAH United, maker of local organic health products sold under the Zorganic brand, has become the first Fijian-owned agriculture company to embark on a trade mission to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Led by its chief executive officer Naheeda Maqbool, the trade mission is a significant leap in positioning Fiji in one of the world’s most dynamic markets.
“This is more than just a business mission,” Ms Maqbool said.
“It’s about redefining what Fijian agriculture can achieve. “We’re here to open doors not just for Zonah United, but for the hundreds of rural women and youth behind our movement. We are proudly showcasing Fiji’s potential on the world stage.”
“At the heart of Zonah United’s mission is its purpose-driven model of supporting over 150 marginalized women through employment, training, and entrepreneurship opportunities.
“By combining traditional agriculture with innovative product development, Zorganic offers a range of health products that are rooted in both science and culture,” Ms Maqbool said.
Fiji’s Ambassador to the UAE Faizal Koya applauded the initiative.
“Zonah United is not only raising the Fijian flag abroad but redefining what global trade can look like for small island nations,” he said.
“As Zonah United continues to trail blaze new paths, it sets a strong example of how we can drive economic transformation, women’s empowerment, and national pride — all while keeping the values of community and sustainability at its core.”
