The South Pacific Stock Exchange (SPX) is inviting organisations across Fiji to take part in the SPX Annual Awards 2026. The awards recognise excellence in corporate annual reporting and outstanding contributions to Fiji’s capital market.
The program includes two main categories;
m the Annual Report Awards, which recognise organisations for producing high-quality annual reports; and
m the Capital Market Excellence Awards, which celebrate the achievements of companies and individuals who contribute to the development of Fiji’s capital market.
Applications for the Annual Report Awards close on October 30 2026. Applying is free, and the entire process is completed online through www.spx.com.fj. Organisations need to complete a questionnaire and submit their annual reports for assessment. Tickets for the awards night are also available online.
The awards night will take place on Saturday, November 14 2026, at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva. The event will bring together business leaders, investors, financial institutions and other industry representatives to celebrate achievements in Fiji’s corporate and financial sectors.
Following the successful return of the awards in 2025, this year’s program has been expanded to include more than 20 awards. The Annual Report of the Year category will now recognise Gold, Silver and Bronze winners for both listed and unlisted companies. An independent judging panel, chaired by SPX director Lorraine Seeto, will assess the annual reports.
The Capital Market Excellence Awards will recognise participants who have made significant contributions to the local capital market. Winners will be selected by SPX based on their market activity, performance and contributions to market development.
The event will also celebrate five SPX-listed companies that have reached important listing milestones. The Lifetime Achievement Award, introduced in 2025, will continue to honour individuals who have made long-term contributions to Fiji’s capital market.
SPX chief executive officer Sheraj Obeyesekere said the awards highlight the importance of transparency, accountability and high standards in business. He encouraged organisations to apply for the awards and invited the wider business community to attend the event. He also noted that the awards provide an opportunity for businesses and industry stakeholders to celebrate achievements and build stronger connections.
The SPX Annual Awards 2026 is supported by the Reserve Bank of Fiji, Sun Stockbrokers and ATH Group of Companies as Gold Sponsors. Merchant Finance and the Fiji Institute of Chartered Accountants are Silver Sponsors, while Gaunavou Investments Company, Fiji Ports, Kontiki Finance, VB Holdings and Axellerate Sports are Bronze Sponsors. Fiji TV and The Fiji Times are the official media partners.
The SPX Annual Awards 2026 aims to recognise excellence, encourage better corporate reporting and support the continued growth of Fiji’s capital market.
