THE battle for the final spot in the 2026 BiC Fiji FACT tournament will go down to the wire this weekend as Nadi and Nadroga fight to keep their hopes alive in Round Nine of the Extra Premier League.

Tagimoucia Nadi FC currently sits eighth on the points table with seven points, while MMM Brothers & Coastal Rental Cars Nadroga trails closely behind in ninth place with five points.

Nadi holds the advantage heading into its crucial clash against Lautoka and needs only a draw to secure qualification for the prestigious tournament in Labasa. A win would guarantee the Jetsetters a place, while even a loss may still be enough if Nadroga fails to beat Global Care Suva FC.

For Nadroga, the mission is simple but challenging. The Stallions must defeat Suva and hope Lautoka overcomes Nadi to stand any chance of qualifying.

Goal difference could also become a deciding factor. Nadi currently has a better goal difference of minus four compared to Nadroga’s minus 10, meaning the Stallions may need a convincing victory if both sides finish level on points.

Meanwhile, Dayal’s Sawmillers Ba FC, Extra Supermarket Labasa FC, Global Care Suva FC, Stratum Rewa FC, Lautoka, Navua and Nasinu have already confirmed their places in the season’s first major football tournament. The 2026 BiC Fiji FACT group matches will be played from June 19-21, while the knockout stages are set for June 27-28 at Subrail Park in Labasa.

In this weekend’s fixture Labasa plays Tailevu Naitasiri tomorrow at Subrail Park at 2pm. On Sunday will see Nadi hosting Lautoka and Prince Charles Park, Nadroga host Suva at Lawaqa Park, Navua host Nasinu and Ba host Rewa at 4R Stadium. All Sunday matches will kick off at 3pm.
