MULTINATIONAL bank ANZ yesterday renewed its sponsorship agreement with the Fijian Drua in a partnership that lasts until the end of the 2028 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season.
The agreement was finalised and signed by the Fijian Drua chief executive Jeff Miller with ANZ’s Head of Commercial Banking, Pacific and Country Head (Fiji), Sohaib Mahmood at ANZ House in Suva.
The partnership sees the two entities continue a long-standing connection of fostering financial sponsorship, community initiatives and financial wellbeing programs for players.
Miller acknowledged the service rendered by ANZ over the years through these initiatives.
“We look forward to another exciting year. It’s a lot happening in the off-season,” Miller mentioned.
“It’s great to have stability with the likes of ANZ as a co-sponsor of our business so that we can progress forward and do the very best that we can to inspire a nation and change lives for the better.”
Mahmood said the Drua was a platform where the best of Fiji was taken to the world stage, adding the bank was excited to continue its partnership with the Super Rugby team.
“The Drua is where we take the best of Fiji to the world and I guess for me personally, it’s being seen as a gesture of goodwill, starting with the Drua and what’s followed from there,” Mahmood said.
“We’re really excited.”
“We couldn’t be prouder, we couldn’t be happier and I’m really looking forward to the journey ahead.”
ANZ is also the club’s official banking partner.
