FIJI Airways Fijian 7s head coach Osea Kolinisau has made six changes to the 14-member team to take part at the Singapore tournament next week.
The side welcomes back Kaminieli Rasaku and Terio Veilawa, who return from injury. Forward Sevuloni Mocenacagi with halfback Filipo Bukayaro, lanky Iowane Teba and winger Ropate Rere also rejoin the team.
Coach Osea Kolinisau says it was a difficult task selecting the travelling squad.
“As a coach, it is always hard to make decisions on choosing the final squad, which is a good thing because it means the boys know they have to work extra hard to get a spot,” he said.
Missing out from the Hong Kong squad are Jeremaia Matana, Suliano Volivoli, Waisea Nacuqu, Vuviwa Naduvalo, Napolioni Bolaca and Josese Batirerega.
The men’s side takes on USA in its opening match at 5.14pm next Friday. They also face Great Britain and Ireland in pool play.
Meanwhile, Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s coach Saiasi Fuli has named one debutant in his squad.
Fuli has named Seahawks forward Mere Navue, who will make her debut at next week’s event.
Mereula Toroti and Laisani Moceisawana return to the squad while Heleina Young has been ruled out due to injury.
The Fijiana 7s take on Great Britain in its opening match at 4.28pm next Friday.
