Chinese Ambassador to Fiji Zhou Jian is challenging those claiming that China and its citizens are involved in illicit activities to have the claims addressed through proper channels.

Mr Zhou said they are to report it to the Fiji Police Force if they have proof rather than sensationalised media coverage.

“If you have any criminal allegations against anyone you will report it to the police station that’s the normal process,” he said.

This after 60 Minutes Australia released a video program entitled “China’s dirty tactics to control Pacific” on March 24 claiming that behind their cooperation they are supporting drug trafficking organisations in Fiji.

“This is media bullying,” he said.

Since their inception in Fiji, he said they have always abided by the law.

“We are committed to abide by the law and maintain transparent and mutually beneficial relations with Fiji,” he said.
