Fiji Bodybuilders and Fitness Federation vice-president is happy with the performance of young builders in the Mr & Mrs Fiji Bodybuilding Championship 2022.

Ratu Meli Yavala Navutovuto said it was good to see young people taking part in this sport.

Despite the competition being canceled last year it did not dampen the spirit of these young builders as they continued to train. “I would like to thank everyone who had supported this championship and made it happen,” he said.

“We are grateful to the sponsors for coming on board despite the last-minute call.

“These builders are really taking the sport to another level.”

New bodybuilders taking part in their first men’s physiques competition were Iserael Setefano, Avitesh Pillay, Basil Clery, and lone female Cecilia Kado. In the Masters Jale Colata, Onisivoro Koroi and Param Sivan were no strangers to the competition as they have their all.

Ratu Meli said the young builders have laid the foundation to young people to come and try out.
