THE annual observance of World TB Day in Fiji allows the Ministry of Health and Medical Services and its stakeholders to refocus concerted attention and efforts on reducing the burden of the TB scourge on all Fijians.

Minister Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete highlighted this while officiating at the World TB commemoration day at the Twomey Hospital in Tamavua this morning.

“World TB Day commemorates the global community’s response towards the impact of the disease on our lives,” Dr Waqainabete said.

He encouraged all stakeholders to work together to end this endemic.

The theme for this year’s World TB day observance is ‘It’s Time To End TB in my Generation’.
