Woman charged for failure to provide necessities

The 21-year-old woman whose two-year-old daughter was found wandering outside a police officer’s home at Pritam Sigh Road in Makoi on Monday has been charged.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the woman has been charged with one count of failure to provide necessities and will be produced at the Nasinu Magistrates Court this morning.

The two-year-old girl was earlier admitted at the CWM Hospital for medical checks and was later released into the care of her grandparents
