- A trough of low pressure is expected to affect the group from the west later today with clouds and showers and gradually spread to the rest of the country till tomorrow.
- Meanwhile, the moist easterlies that prevails over the country are expected to be enhanced over Fiji from today.
- Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group: Cloudy periods with some showers over Serua/Namosi, Suva/Nausori-Tailevu areas, Naitasiri, eastern Macuata and Cakaudrove, Lau and Lomaiviti group.
- Elsewhere, partly cloudy apart from afternoon or evening showers.
- Showers becoming frequent from the west later today and gradually spreading over the rest of the country.
- Isolated heavy falls expected over most places especially in the afternoon or evening.
- Moderate to fresh easterly winds.
- Moderate to rough seas.
- Outlook for Sunday: Fine apart from brief showers over Serua/Namosi, Suva/Nausori-Tailevu areas, Naitasiri, eastern Macuata and Cakaudrove, Lau and Lomaiviti group.
