A trough of low pressure lies slow moving to the west of the group.

The weather bulletin issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi this morning says the trough is expected to approach the group from the west and affect the country from later tomorrow.

The forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group expect cloudy periods with some showers and isolated afternoon or evening thunderstorms over the eastern parts and interior of the other larger islands .

Elsewhere, fine apart from afternoon or evening showers and possible thunderstorms.

For tomorrow expect some showers and isolated thunderstorms over Vanua Levu, Taveuni, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, the eastern parts and interior of the other larger islands .

Elsewhere, cloudy periods with afternoon or evening showers and isolated thunderstorms.

Showers becoming frequent from later tomorrow.

Moderate east to southeast winds, fresh at times with moderate to rough seas.

The outlook for Saturday expect occasional showers and few thunderstorms over most places.
