A tropical disturbance has been identified near the Solomon Islands.
In a statement, the Fiji Meteorological Services announced that TD03F was located to the east of the Solomons at 6pm today.
“This system will be closely monitored as it has moderate to high chance of developing into a tropical cyclone by early next week,” the statement said.
“Current guidance indicates that the system will affect Solomon Islands and then move towards Australia.”
