Weather watch: Labasa Police urge vigilance from parents

LABASA Police are pleading with parents to be vigilant and keep a close watch over their children during this period of adverse weather condition.

Divisional Police Commander North senior superintendent Eparama Waqa said this was imperative, especially during this school holiday.

“Parents are to keep their children indoors and safely as well because this rainy condition will continue,” SSP Waqa said.

He has also asked members of the public to be cautious and avoid flooded areas at all cost.

Flashfloods in Labasa area has closed off roads and crossings in flood-prone areas.
