Waqainabete resigns from Parliament

Opposition Member of Parliament and former Minister for Health, Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete has resigned from Parliament.

Speaker of Parliament Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu has given notice that the FijiFirst party member’s seat is now vacant pursuant to Section 63(1)(a) of the Constitution.

Ratu Naiqama confirmed that Dr Waqainabete resigned from parliament effective from Friday, March 10, 2023.
