USP Japanese martial arts exhibition

THE Japanese Embassy in collaboration with the University of the South Pacific is starring a Japanese Martial Arts Exhibition that was opened on August 19 to and will end on September 19 at the Yalu Lounge of the USP Library, Laucala Campus in Suva.

Organized by the Japan Foundation, the display features one of Japans traditional martial arts – from battlefield combat techniques (bujutsu) to popular sports or physical exercise tempering body, spirit and mind.

USP students roamed the display with much enthusiasm and were amazed at the sight and the knowledge gained from the staff about the art.

Admissions to the exhibition are free of charge and open to the general public.

Meanwhile, the Japan foundation has organized a concert that will be held at the USP Japan ICT Centre tonight and is expected to start at 6pm and end at 8:30pm.

Admission to the concert is free.
