BOXING fans will be treated to another spectacle of excitement when Kings Boxing Promotions stages its upcoming meet in Suva next month.

Exciting bouts are lined up for various categories and star boxers Mikaele Ravalaca and Joseph Kwadjo will fight intense opponents in the promotion as well.

Promoter Nahroon Buksh says the event is an opportunity for fans to come out in large numbers and witness local boxers battle overseas opponents.

The main bout of this promotion is between Ravalaca and Indian boxer Rohit Chauhan.

Buksh remarked this bout would become the talk of the town.

“I think this is the talk of the town and an awaited clash between the two,” Buksh said.

“Rohit has been in the country and has fought two fights and has won both so it’s a good test for him, fighting our lightweight champion (Ravalaca).”

Ravalaca said preparing for the bout against Chauhan meant being ready at his best capacity while also stating he remained focused on getting there.

“At the moment, I am focusing on my journey and I want to be 100 per cent fit for it and then close to the fight, I know what is going to come,” the boxer who hails from Ra said.

For Kwadjo, who fights heavyweight champion Kimi Vakalalabure, he does so in the category after previous bouts in the cruiserweight category.

He said competing in this category meant testing himself in it and to see how he could fare with his young opponent in the ring.

He urged fans, supporters and boxing lovers to turn up in huge numbers for the promotion.

“As soon as they hear my name or if I’m fighting, they want to come and see what Joseph (Kwadjo) is bringing on board,” he said.

The Kings Boxing Promotions event will happen on July 25 at the Vodafone Arena.
