The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua side faces its toughest task of the Shop n Save Super Rugby Pacific season when they face the undefeated Hurricanes in Suva on Friday.

The Wellington-based side is the only team in the competition this year with a 100 per cent winning record having won seven out of the seven matches played so far.

The Drua, on the hand, are yet to lose a match on home soil this year. The two teams met in Suva last year where the Drua came out victorious 27-24.

Fijian Drua lanky lock Isoa Nasilasila says his side is aware of the task on hand this week.

“Obviously with the Hurricanes being undefeated, they’re a different team from last year and watching their few previous games, they have been really clinical. They are the informed team at the moment,” said Nasilasila.

The 24-year-old says the bye week has given the team a much-needed break.

“We are expecting a tough game in Suva this week. The boys have had a good rest in the bye week that we had. We expect a good game and hopefully we come away with a win.”

The Fijian Drua have won matches this season with backing from fans and Nasilasila says they expect the same this week.

“Try and get to the ground in numbers. Try and pack the Stadium and support the Drua boys. We really need all the support we can get. Get to the Stadium, make as much noise as you can and try and get us across the line.”

The Fijian Drua host the Hurricanes at 7.05pm at the HFC Bank Stadium.

Before that, the Fijian Drua women’s side take on Western Force at 4.35pm in the semi-final of the Super W competition.
