THE Tailevu South Primary Schools Netball Championship[ at the National Netball Centre in Suva las week was a chance to expose netballers from Dilkusha Girls School in Nausori.

The school’s team was among the top teams in the competition and they hope to continue their winning streak in local schools competitions.

School coach Litia Naqaitukana spoke of opportunities they had been provided by playing in the competition.

“I was happy that we brought the girls,” she said.

“It gives them a chance to expose their talents.”

The school took part in the U10 division.

There were two teams: Lilac and Roses.

Naqaitukana said the competition was a valuable experience for their girls.

“Many of the players competed for the first time,” she said.

“It allowed them to improve their fitness and develop their netball skills.”

She said the players juggled against a tight school schedule to prepare for the event.

“We had limited time. It was difficult to balance practices with a tight school schedule.”

Despite these challenges, she said the teams worked hard.

The event was an annual competition for schools in Tailevu South.
