A total 240 employees of the iTaukei Land Trust Board (TLTB) have been provided medical insurance cover effective this month (November, 2023).
The TLTB endorsed this initiative for those employees who fall within the Grade 1 to Grade 7 bracket.
The insurance cover – in partnership with BSP Life – entitles eligible staff for outpatient medical insurance, in addition to hospitalisation at the local hospital and overseas evacuation for specialised treatment, dental and optical care, and maternity.
“We are pleased to provide this insurance cover for our employees from Grade 1 to Grade 7. This is a testament of our commitment to their well-being and our recognition of their hard work and dedication,” TLTB interim CEO Solomoni Nata said.
“We believe that this insurance cover will provide them with the peace of mind knowing that they and their families are financially protected in the event of a medical emergency.
“The TLTB has considered the plight of 240 employees in this grade bracket and has provided them with this insurance cover to promote fairness, inclusiveness, and recognition as employees of the Board.”
