THREE board members were elected in the Fiji National Rugby League board in the annual general meeting which was held at the Fiji Police Force academy in Nasova, Suva this afternoon.

The new board members Culden Kamea, Petero Civoniceva and former board member Tomi Finau were elected into the office while Mesake Navugona was re-elected in the AGM.

Fiji National Rugby League chief executive officer, Timoci Naleba said they had a fruitful meeting with the affiliated members.

“What happened today was extra ordinary particularly having the external observers which happened for the first time,” Naleba said.

“All the club members were given the fair opportunity to talk in the AGM in terms of the issues about the running of the FNRL.”

The external observers were part of the Fiji National Rugby League annual general meeting.

Fiji National Sports Commission chairman Peter Mazey, National Rugby League Australia head of football Brian Canavan and Rugby League International Federation’s Tas Baitieri were the external observers.

Meanwhile, the board will meet next week to select the chairman.
