Tekiata’s pick in Modric wins FIFA Men’s Best Player of the Year award

VODAFONE Fiji football captain Remueru Tekiata’s pick Luka Modric has won the FIFA Men’s Best Player of the Year today.

Every captain of the 200-member unions get to pick its top three players.

Tekiata picked Modric as his number one, Anotoine Griezmann as second and Kevin De Bruyne as his third.

In the results announced in London this morning, Modric beat Ronaldo and Mbappe to win his first Best Player award.

In other awards, Brazillian Marta scooped the Best Women’s footballer award, Thibaut Courtois received the Best Goalkeeper award, Mohammed Salah received the FIFA Puskas Award for the best goal scored while the FIFA Fan award was given to Peru fans.
