THE FMF Suva women’s rugby captain Elenoa Matanisiga believes small improvements in their game will be important as they prepare for the next round of the Subrails Marama Cup Championship.
Matanisiga said the team did not need to make changes but would focus on areas that could improve their performance in their next match.
“We just need to do alot of small workouts, and I feel like we need to work on our support plays, our forwards and the scrums,” Matanisiga said.
Suva currently sits in third place of the Subrails Marama Cup points table, a few points behind Namosi who is in first place and Nadi at second place.
She said the team was otherwise in good shape and would use the lead-up to Round 6 to sharpen their execution.
“Other than that, we’re all good,” she said.
For Suva, the focus will be on making sure the work done during training translates into better support and consistency when they return to the field.
Round 6 of the Subrails Marama Cup championship fixtures, Suva will take on Kadavu at 1pm at the Suva Grammar School grounds, while Lautoka hosts points table leader Namosi at 11am at Churchill Park in Lautoka.
