Supermarket giants MH and MaxVal-u are now offering their customers the convenience and safety of shopping from home through their online shop www.mh.com.fj.

According to a statement from Vodafone Fiji it has made this more convenient, by allowing purchases made online be paid remotely with M-PAiSA.

“Buying things online has become a common practice among millions of people around the world,” said director retail and marketing of Carpenters Group Fiji Kunaseelan Sabaratnam.

“This phenomenon is fast becoming a way of life in Fiji as people have begun to realise the importance of social distancing to protect their families from COVID infection.

“It also offers greater convenience for shopping particularly the younger generation of consumers who are more tech- savvy and prefer to do things “on the go.

“We now offer the convenience of shopping from anywhere and the ability to pay remotely using M-PAiSA at no extra cost through our online shop.”

For instore shopping at all MH and MaxVal-u supermarkets, customers could also make cashless payment using M-PAiSA QR.

With the COVID-19 pandemic showing little sign of abating any time soon, consumers were urged to choose the safe shopping options.

“MH online shopping certainly provides this” said Mr Sabaratnam.

This was simply achieved by logging on to the www.mh.com.fj online shop, selecting the items to purchase and adding this to the online shopping cart and checking out and paying with M-PAiSA by clicking the M-PAiSA payment option.

For shopping of more than $200, there was a free delivery within 5km radius of the any of the MH or MaxVal-u outlets.

Head of Vodafone Fiji’s eCommerce and mobile payments, Shailendra Prasad said today’s consumers were seeking greater freedom and the ability to do things at their convenience and with the COVID pandemic they were also seeking safety in shopping.

“We are very pleased to partner Fiji’s largest and longest serving supermarket chain, MH and Max- Val-u to offer both our customers the convenience and safety of shopping,” he said.
