Striders downs Marist in women’s 10s rugby final

STRIDERS women’s club defeated Marist 38-10 in the Suva Rugby Union women’s 10s final at Albert Park in Suva today.

Their aim is to increase the development and promote women’s rugby in Fiji.

They led 19-0 in the first half with tries from Akosita Ravato, Luisa Basei and Timaimai Ravisa.

Manager Alena Mucunabitu said the junior players really stepped up after majority of their senior players were not present.

They walked away with $800 prize money.
