NATIONAL Rugby League star Maika Sivo appeared at the Nadi Magistrates Court this morning charged with one count of indecent assault.
The NRL winger was alleged to have indecently assaulted a female employee of a resort on Denarau Island on Boxing Day.
Sivo was represented by Lautoka lawyer Mosese Naivalu when he appeared before Magistrate Peni Dalituicama this morning.
Mr Naivalu pleaded bail for the Paramatta Eels winger because he was scheduled to return to Sydney later this week for pre-season training.
Magistrate Dalituicama granted the request for but issued a stop departure order.
He said he would hear Mr Naivalu’s submissions once plea was taken next year.
The case has been adjourned to January 7, 2020.
