Ba Town was on clean-up mode this morning after floodwaters caused by Severe Tropical Cyclone Harold brought in debris and mud.

Market vendors cleared up stock that was spoilt by the flood while shop keepers surveyed their damaged equipment.

Ba Town Council CEO Dip Narayan said council workers had been assisting vendors in clearing up the market area.

“The town was in 3ft of water yesterday so we were expecting a lot of debris and mud to be cleaned out of council properties today,” Mr Narayan said.

“We closed the market and hopefully by tomorrow, all of the cleaning will be done.”
