Sports has positive impact on disabled

THE Minister for Youth and Sports Laisenia Tuitubou has spoken highly on the impact of sports for people with intellectual disabilities.

“The positive impact of sports in the Pacific will be seen in these games as they provide an opportunity for the South Pacific region to come together to celebrate the talents,” he said.

A total of 500 athletes will be taking part in the three days event with 200 volunteers and support staff from PNG, Western Samoa, Tonga, Vanuatu, Kiribati, Nauru, American Samoa and New Zealand

In addition, Team Fiji is represented by 15 district towns and islands around Fiji.
