Digicel Fiji chief executive offi cer Farid Mohammed says their sponsorshipwith Fiji Football Association is timely with the launch of the Digicel Women’s Super League ahead of the International Women’s Day this week.

Speaking during the opening of the Digicel Premier League atChurchill Park in Lautoka yesterday, Mohammed thanked the Fiji FA for developing the sport from the grassroots level, especially women’s football bringing gender equality.

“Digicel signed up a three year deal to sponsor Fiji FA last week in Suva in a grand style,” Farid said.

“We introduced a new product of Fiji FA which is the women’s super league. It couldn’t be any good timing as we head into the week celebrating International Women’s Day.”

Digicel is the sponsor for all the league competitions, all senior and age group national teams, beach soccer tournaments, futsal tournaments and the Fiji FACT.
