THE case between SODELPA’s Ro Filipe Tuisawau, Anare Jale, Adi Litia Qionibaravi and Usaia Waqatairewa and Watisoni Nata has been adjourned to December 10 for hearing.
Appearing before Acting judge Justice Vishwa Sharma this morning Ro Filipe, Adi Litia and Mr Waqatairewa who arrived from Australia this morning were represented by lawyer Filimoni Vosarogo while the plaintiff Mr Nata was represented by Ashneel Narayan of AK Lawyers.
The defence council had requested for 21 days while the plaintiffs representative had requested for 14 days to file affidavit documents to Mr Waqatairewa.
Meanwhile the plaintiff, Mr Nata is representing a faction of the SODELPA party who challenged the party’s conduct during its General Assembly in Savusavu on June this year.
The challenge was filed on behalf of party voters by certain party members led by the SODELPA Suva Constituency president Watisoni Nata.
Justice Sharma had adjourned the case to December 10 for hearing after considering the parliamentary sitting dates from the 18th to the 22nd of next month, requests of affidavit service time and the commitments of the lawyers representing the case.
