Nadogo football goalkeeper Ravinesh Singh was in tears after being named the Golden Glove Award winner in the 2020 Fiji FA Presidents Cup tournament in Labasa last weekend.

Speaking to Fiji FA Media, Singh said finally his hard work and dedication to the sport had paid off.

“I have been playing for more than 20 years in the religious tournaments and two years now as goalkeeper for the Nadogo team and this is my first award and I am so happy.

“This is a very special award for me because my time for retirement is near but I will say age has no barrier because I am a passionate footballer.”

The Labasa Hospital nurse dedicated his award to his son Riaan Singh and wife Shartika Singh.

“My family is behind my success. I have sacrificed a lot of family commitments to play the game I love the most and this award is for all of them, “said Singh.

Nadogo featured in the first ever Fiji FA Presidents Cup final against Savusavu but were edged 4-5 in penalty kicks after both teams drew 1-1 in the match.
