Silktails to play Tigers in build-up match

THE Kaiviti Silktails will have a chance to test their mettle with a series of build-up matches planned next month including a game against Papua New Guinea Digicel Cup champions Lae Snax Tigers rugby league club.

The Silktails will also face stern contest against two local based teams the Western and Eastern conference rugby league teams, formed from domestic based players competing in the Vodafone Cup competition.

“It will be a good hitout for the Silktails after weeks of training I know they will be eager to test themselves,” said Eastern Conference rugby league team coach Vulaono Dakuitoga.

Dakuitoga said he hopes the tests will produce some areas for the Silktails to iron out before the Ron Massey Cup begins.
