Four schools had the opportunity to test the newly-refurbished tracks at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva during their combined inter-house competition yesterday.

Noco, Nabua, and Davuilevu secondary schools, as well as Nakasi High School, saw about 400 students participate in the event.

Nakasi High School principal Praveen Chand expressed his amazement at being the first school to use the new tracks.

“During the combined school event, the students worked co-operatively to support each other in completing the various events and competitions,” said Chand.

“The schools were divided into two houses, namely Pearl and Gold, and brought in over 100 athletes to compete.”

“The students were pleased to have the opportunity to compete on the new tracks, offering the athletes more exposure before the Triple N Zone competition

. “The schools are currently in good preparation for the upcoming competitions, with a focus on nurturing new and strong athletes.”

Nakasi High School, as defending champions in the zone from the previous year, is aiming to surpass their previous achievements and perform even better during the Coca-Cola Games.
