FIJI Secondary Schools Netball Association president Karalaini Seruiratu is calling on Netball Fiji to develop players in rural areas.
FSSNA is expected to host its national competition in the next fortnight.
“We are reaching to northern schools and schools in Rakiraki and Ba.
Hopefully Netball Fiji can come in and scout players when there is a rally and during zone competitions that can help in the
development of players,” she said.
“Since we will be hosing the World Youth Championship in 2021 this is a great platform for these girls.
“These developments can help raise our standard. We would love to see our national coach and officials to come down to our national competitions and try to identify the players that are eligible enough to play.”
“We have written to Netball Fiji asking if they can assist us.
Last year we are grateful to Coca-Cola Amatil for helping us.
The expenses were expensive.
We are calling on business companies to help us because this will help groom future players.”
The competition will be held on August 9-10.
